Description

Curd is a dairy product obtained by curdling milk. Usually the curdling is done by adding a tiny quantity of curd. In india, curd is included in lunch in some form or the other in almost all households.

Note

1) If milk with higher fat content is used, the thicker the curd will be.
2) In cold countries it will take longer to set. In that case, put the oven light on & keep the curd to set.

Method

1) Boil milk and keep on boiling for about 10 to 12 minutes.
2) remove from fire and keep aside to let it cool to luke warm.
3) Once milk turns lukewarm, add curd and mix lightly.
4) Keep aside undisturbed for 8 hours to set. Thn can be kept in the fridge.

Serving Suggestions

Can be used in various forms. Serve it with a meal, make curd rice, add to salads, make butter milk and make savories like dahi bhalla/ vada or make dips.
