DISH NAME : FISH FRY WITH GREEN MASALA

Description

Fish marinated and fried with slightly pungent green chutney.

Note

1) I have used white pomfret here. You can use any fleshy fish. Total weight of the fish i used was 600 gms.

Green masala
50  Gms.Corriander leaves chopped fine
1  Tbsp.Coconut, grated
4  No.sGreeen chillies,chopped
1  PinchCumin seeds
1  Tbsp.Lime juice
6  No.sGarlic
2  Tsp.Pepper corns
  Salt to taste
4  No.sPomfret (white) fish, whole
1  CupOil for frying

Method

1) Grind all the ingredients under green masala with as little water as possible.
2) Clean and wash fish thoroughly. Then make slits on fish.
3) Apply green masala on fish and keep aside for 30 minutes.
4) Heat oil and fry fish on both sides till well done and crisp.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with rice. A sprinkling of lime juice just before serving is good.
